  1. MEXTRAS PACKAGE FOR DELPHI

  4. DESCRIPTION
  5. This package will help you with the internationalization process in Delphi.
  6. Translates all 16-bit common dialogs with support for special languages via
  7. different font scripts. Also to translate standard delphi message dialog
  8. button and title texts. Can be used for translation during run-time.
  9. This is a part of the big multi language package TMultLang.
  10.  
  11. INSTALLATION
  12. 1. First unpack MEXTRAS.ZIP in an own directory (you have probably already 
  13. done that by reading this) or if you have the diskette, run the setup program
  14. and do as directed.
  15.  
  16. 2. Move the MEXTRAS.HLP files to any directory in your search path, 
  17. preferable the DELPHI\BIN directory where other Delphi helpfiles are.
  18.  
  19. 3. Then install the MEXTRAS.PAS file via the 'Install Component' menu option 
  20. in Delphi. If any problems occurs, you can get your old library back from the
  21. backup file *.BAK that Delphi automatically makes. (for more instructions see 
  22. page 69 in the Users Guide).

  24. 4. Install the MEXTRAS.KWF file with the Helpfile installer program 
  25. (HELPINST.EXE) supplied by Delphi. This enables you to press F1 in the Object
  26. Inspector to invoke help on that property. (Not necessary if you just want to
  27. have a quick look at the component).

  41. UN-INSTALL
  42. 1. First remove the component from the component palette in Delphi via the 
  43. 'Install Component' menu options in Delphi.
  44.  
  45. 2. Re-generate the keyword index for helpfiles in the Helpfile installer
  46. program (HELPINST.EXE) without the MEXTRAS.KWF file.
  47.  
  48. 3. Just delete all files in the MEXTRAS package in the directory you choosed
  49. when it was installed. Dont forget to delete the helpfile MEXTRA.HLP also,
  50. which is in the DELPHI\BIN directory if you installed it according to the
  51. installation instructions.

  53. THE REAL PACKAGE (MULTLANG PACKAGE)
  54. The MULTLANG package gives a complete package for making an international
  55. application within minutes.

  57. forum library 3'rd Party or from http://mailhost.net/~delphi.

  59. SHAREWARE
  60. This version of MEXTRAS is released as shareware and means in this case that 
  61. you are allowed a trial period for testing. The testing period expires when 
  62. you start using it in projects to develop programs or after 20 days from the 
  63. installation time. After that period you have to remove it and must not use it
  64. anymore, or you can register it for continuing use.

  66. I do not take any responsibility of misuse or any corrupt files caused by this 
  67. component and especially not your form files (*.DFM). It is your responsibility
  68. to always keep a backup copy of necessary files. For more info see page 139
  69. 'Creating a backup of an entire project' in the Delphi User's Guide.
  70. You are not allowed to modify any files associated with this component. 
  71. In the Shareware version, you are allowed to distribute this component with 
  72. all its files anytime. There is no limited functions in the Shareware version.
  73. By registering the package you will get rid of the annoying messages.
  74. This version is released based on trust, so I expect you to follow the rules.

  88. REGISTER
  89. All registered users will the first 3 month get free support. Support will be
  90. given on the address below. After the first 3 month the registered users will
  91. still get free support but in a reasonable amount.

  93. If you have access to Internet, please take a look at URL site 
  94. 'http://mailhost.net/~delphi' for late braking news and updates. Do you use 
  95. MAPI, MSN or Netscape I suggest you to take a look in the about dialog, that
  96. can be accessed from the Object Inspector.
  97. You will be able to upgrade to later versions and get free patches when
  98. available. You will also get rid of all the annoying messages
  99.  
  100. Support will be given via E-Mail or Fax on the address given below. The
  101. registration methods below entitles you to develop and distribute royalty
  102. free programs which contains components in this package but NOT THE HELPFILES. 
  103. If it is used by more than one person at a time, you must register sufficient 
  104. licenses. Each registration allows one person to use the component at a time.
  105. Site registrations with more than 3 users are available with discounts. Please
  106. send me an E-mail requesting application forms for site licensing.

  109. * Send a check that can be drawn from an Australian bank, to the author with
  110.   the name and amount shown below minus 15%.
  111. * Register via Compuserve, go to the SWREG forum and select Register Shareware.
  112.   Search for TMultLang package or TMExtras package and select the version you 
  113.   would like to order.

  116. component.

  128. 32-BIT VERSION
  129. The 32-bit component will be available short after the release of Delphi 32 bit
  130. version. The 32 bit version will be fully compatible with 1.xx 16 bit versions
  131. of the multi language component. This means you can use the 16-bit component
  132. and later switch to the 32 bit component and then recompile, without any
  133. additional coding.
